Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American as well as a Canadian singer-songwriter. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk and alternative rock although it includes influence from hip music and jazz. The widely regarded feminist icon Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement being one of the pioneers to establish her own record label in 1990. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September, 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father was of Italian roots and her mother was born in Montreal. Ani Difrasco wrote and recorded the track "32 Flavors". The song debuted on her 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl.
